CANVEY took the lead on 28 minutes when George Sykes’ ball from the left was cleared at the front post, but only as far as Mitchell Gilbey who fired home.
They doubled their advantage eight minutes later with Sykes involved again. This time nobody could stop his ball across the face of goal and Ryan Charles was on hand to tap home.
The points were sealed on 85 minutes as Martin Tuohy tucked home a rebound.
Witham did pull a goal back through Chinedu Osadebe, but Ryan Melaugh restored Canvey’s three-goal cushion late on.
