HALSTEAD MOURNING A LEGEND

HALSTEAD Town are in mourning for legendary former manager and player Shaun Bailey who has died from a brain tumour aged 54.
Bailey played for the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Division One club between 1993-96 and became manager in 2000, winning two Jewson Premier League titles and a Jewson League Cup.
The former for Colchester United youth team player later moved to the USA and became a coach in New England. He also became director of youth soccer in Connecticut.
He was diagnosed with the tumour four years ago, and at first responded well to treatment, but it returned last year.
