BEDFORD Town came out on top against Chalfont St Peter with a solid victory.
Both sides are just outside the play-off places, and this was reflected in the scrappy play early on in the game.
The Eagles suffered a setback in the 13th minute when Callum Donnelly was forced off with a back injury. As the side settled back down, they took the lead in the 24th minute, when Jimmy Hartley beat his marker on the edge of the area before scoring via the post.
