A TIGHT game saw Romulus take the lead on 14 minutes after Callum Coyle led a great breakaway, his through ball setting up Yohan Rutty-Smith.
The visitors waited until the second half for their ascendancy, and equalised as a Luke Keen flick was met by Levi Rowley, who crossed for a close-range finish by Alex Troke after 54 minutes.
Rutty-Smith was busy but ineffective, missing an easy chance.
A Rowley cross was headed home by Iyseden Christie on 77 minutes to give Bedford the lead and seal victory.
