FLEET Town keeper Liam Beach saw some serious action as Rovers made the running.
His efforts ensured it was goalless at half-time, but in the 51st minute Michael Gyasi latched on to a loose ball and fired Rovers into a deserved lead.
Further opportunities came and went but Barton were unable to add to their lead.
Nevertheless, Fleet were confined to long-range efforts.
A late spate of substitutions on either side failed to spark any further scoring and Rovers grabbed all three points and just their second home win of the season.
