BOROUGH ‘S 3G SETBACK

HAVERHILL Borough are in talks about moving back on to their landlord ‘s grass pitch – after their adjacent 3G pitch was deemed to be not up to Step 5 standard.
Since they were formed in 2011, Borough have shared the New Croft sports ground with Eastern Counties Premier rivals Haverhill Rovers.
At first, the clubs shared a single grass pitch, but two years ago, an artificial pitch was added. Rovers stayed on the grass pitch while Borough moved to the 3G one. But Borough have since been told that their artificial pitch is graded only to Step 6 level.
