HARWICH ACCEPT A FREE RIDE BACK UP

ONE-time giants Harwich & Parkeston have accepted a free ride back into senior football after eight years in the wilderness.
The Suffolk club, who were founded in 1877 and reached the FA Amateur Cup final in 1898 and 1953, were founded members of the now Eastern Counties League in 1935.
But in February 2010 they pulled out of the league ‘s top flight after their playing budget ran out.
They then joined the Step 7 Essex & Suffolk Border League for the following season. In 2014, they disbanded their reserve team, and dropped into that league ‘s Division One ...
