SEASON EXTENSION MAY BE GRANTED TUESDAY

CLUBS desperate for more time to accommodate fixtures lost to the weather may hear on Tuesday whether the FA will grant permissions to leagues to extend their seasons.
The issue is set to be raised at a meeting of the FA Leagues Committee, following weeks in which several entire Saturday programmes were wiped out, first by the Beast from the East and then by several days of heavy rain.
