Herefordshire four’s Hellenic misery

FOUR Herefordshire clubs who tried to move sideways into the Hellenic League have been told by the FA that they must stay where they are.
Total Motion Midland Alliance side Westfields and West Midlands (Regional) League outfits Hereford Lads Club, Pegasus Juniors and Wellington all formally requested the move to cut travelling time and costs.
They claimed that playing in the Midland section of the pyramid had become a burden, especially with more clubs being admitted from the East Midlands rather than the traditional catchment area centred on Birmingham and the Black Country.
