MATT Sparrow was at the double as Yaxley ventured new ground in flawless fashion to overcome Barton Rovers.
The Cuckoos are venturing in their first season at step four level and started off perfectly when striker Phil Stebbings fired them ahead after ten minutes.
Some static defending from Barton was to blame but the visitors bounced back ten minutes later, Jimmy Hartley’s deft touch from close ranging finding the net.
