MELKSHAM held on to a narrow win despite a late flourish from the visitors who played the last half an hour with ten men.
Melksham took the lead on 13 minutes when debutant Enock Ekongo made ground down the right flank and crossed for Luke Ballinger to head home.
The decisive moment came on 57 minutes when Clayton Fortunes saw red for a high challenge, Melksham were awarded a penalty and Ballinger calmly slotted the ball home for his second.
