BOWERS & Pitsea grabbed a crucial 1-0 win at Aveley in a dire encounter of first versus third.
After a poor opening 25 minutes, Bowers opened the scoring with a helping hand from Aveley goalkeeper David Hughes.
Hughes spilled a free kick and Lewis Manor was on hand to poke the rebound home.
