WITH this match looking as though it was heading for a draw, Aveley won it with three minutes remaining to keep up their promotion charge. Alex Akrofi turned James White out on the left, before bursting into the box and finishing across goal from a tight angle.
Canvey had taken the lead with only six minutes on the clock.
Striker Adam Vyse poked goalwards from a corner and captain James White turned the ball home from inside the six-yard box.
