THE Rams were reduced to ten men in the 12th minute when left-back Ryan Ellison received a straight red for an alleged elbow.
Chasetown took the lead in bizarre circumstances. Keeper Sam Ashton tripped on the edge of the area fielding a routine ball and Tom Hill had the easi- est chance to fire into an empty net. Ramsbottom deservedly equalised through Jamie Rainford and on the hour were awarded a penalty which Nic Evangelinos converted. Chasetown pushed for the equaliser but had to wait until the 88th minute.
