STRIKER Carl Finnigan has become the latest player to leave South Shields after deciding to drop down to Step 5 to join Northern League Division One Whickham.
The 32-year-old followed fellow front man and club favourite Gavin Cogdon out of the door, citing work commitments as the reason for his move.
Joint-manager Graham Fenton told to the Mariners’ website: “Carl has been a brilliant servant to us on and off the pitch over the last three years and we are very sorry to see him leave.”
