WARRINGTON Town boss Paul Carden has finally got his man in Gainsborough midfielder Alex Byrne.
The 26-year-old twice played against the Yellows last season and becomes their first signing of the summer.
Byrne said: “I had a long chat with the gaffer – he’s been after me for a couple of seasons now. When we spoke about the upcoming season and the role I’d have in the team, he really sold it to me.”
Boss Carden has also agreed a new one-year deal along with Tony McMillan, David Raven, Josh Amis and Jack Dunn.
