GUERNSEY picked up their first win of the season, while ensuring Phoenix dropped to a fourth straight defeat after a 2-1 victory.
Guernsey first took the lead after ten minutes when Ross Allen fired home after beating the offside trap. The home side had the chance to equalise when Danny Young was pulled back in the box just after half time, but Jeff Duah-Kessie’s penalty was well saved by Callum Stanton.
