WORKINGTON AFC solidified their position at the top of the North West Division with a 5-1 hammering of Ramsbottom United.
The Reds raced into an early lead with Brad Carroll scoring after six minutes. Scott Allison doubled the lead, his 100th goal for Workington, before Charlie Bowman and David Symington made it 4-0.
Jamie Rother’s response for Ramsbottom following a defensive mistake ended a wild first half before Nathan Waterson completed the rout for the hosts late on.
