FOR the second successive season, Bridges conceded five at home to Herne Bay, but that had looked unlikely at half-time as an Alex Laing inspired home team led 3-0 at the break.
Bridges keeper Kieron Thorp made two early saves, but Laing hit a low skiddy shot for his first and then cut in from the left to hit a glorious dipping shot to double his tally. And he then turned provider for Tom Tolfrey to add a third.
