A TIGHT match of few chances between Basingstoke Town and Paulton Rovers was eventually settled by Ed Butcher’s corner 15 minutes from time as the visitors triumphed 1-0.
Both teams needed the points for different reasons with Rovers chasing promotion while relegation-threatened Basingstoke sit just one place and two points above Barnstaple Town.
And it was the visitors who found a way through while Basingstoke were temporarily down to ten men with defender Scott Armsworth being sent to the dugout for a change of shirt.
