JAMIE Rainford netted a first-half hat-trick as Widnes comfortably beat Prescot Cables in an enthralling local derby.
The Whites opened the scoring after ten minutes with Jack Banister’s dazzling feet providing a cross for Rainford to divert home with a bullet header
He added his second 15 minutes later with a powerful strike from the edge of the D before completing his treble on the stroke of half-time, turning home from a Shaun Holden cutback.
