GLOSSOP recorded their first win of the season and registered their first goal in more than 360 minutes.
A cagey, uneventful first half left much to be desired for the 254 fans, with the ball seldom leaving the middle third of the pitch.
Cleethorpes took a first-half lead with captain Scott Vernon scoring an easy tap-in at the back post just before the break.
