CANVEY won the bragging rights in this local derby, in a game where the home side suffered the loss of both their centre backs and holding midfielder.
Grays were slow out of the traps finding themselves a goal down after just seven minutes through Evans Kouassi, and it could have been worse but for some fine saves from goalkeeper Danny Sambridge.
