BEDFORD Town maintained their 100 per cent start to their league campaign with an efficient, if unspectacular, display against Welwyn Garden City.
In a largely untidy game that improved a little after the break, the league leaders led thank to close-range finishes from Lynton Goss, after 25 minutes, and former Welwyn player Ben Spaul, in stoppage time at the end of the opening half.
Brad Wadkins brought the home Citizens back into the game after 66 minutes when he scored with a clever backward header.
