■ A CONTEST in which both teams were looking to escape the foot of the table saw Kempston Rovers back up their fine win at Leighton Town last week.
Rovers had the best chance of the first half from the penalty spot, but Arel Amu’s shot was comfortably saved by Archie Davis in the Thame goal.
The deadlock was broken halfway through the second half, as Rio DaSilva’s longrange shot looped over Davis from 25 yards.
