A SECOND-HALF brace within five minutes for Cole Kiernan ensured Newton Aycliffe took all three points away from Woodhorn Lane in a windswept game.
It was all level at the interval with Aycliffe equalising just a minute after Connor Thomson gave Ashington the lead after 30 minutes.
Ashington struggled to get going in the second half with the wind behind them and Newton Aycliffe took full advantage.
