CONSETT claimed the upper hand over play-off rivals on Friday night to move into third place with an away win at Pontefract Collieries.
A game that had a bit of everything saw a goal disallowed for the hosts which was adjudged to be offside. Moments later it was Consett who led courtesy of a Ben Ramsey strike.
The fixture was in doubt after a 25-minute delay due to floodlight failure, but once the game restarted it was only really the visitors who looked like scoring the game’s second goal.
