DESPITE being only one goal adrift at the break, Ashford Town looked down and out at Chertsey Town.
The only wonder was just a goal separated the sides, a penalty kick emphatically struck by Conor Lee for the Curfews after 33 minutes. However, a scrappy second half allowed spirited Ashford a suggestion of a point.
A succession of firsthalf misses, including a penalty miss, left only one goal on the score sheet at the turnaround.
