■ ZERO to hero Mason Fawns scored moments after his missed penalty in a hard-earned draw against Bootle to earn Kidsgrove a much-needed point.
Sam Hughes prodded home the opener with a simple finish inside the box from a Bootle corner.
Matthew Moss pointed straight to the spot after Scott Stephton’s challenge on Aaron Bott resulted in a yellow card for the defender and a penalty for the Grove.
Fawns stepped up to take the resulting kick which was saved well by Tony Thompson down to his right.
Moments later, Fawns repaid his debts with a power...
