SEAN O’MAHONEY’S freak goal made the difference as Runcorn Linnets beat Stalybridge Celtic to record another impressive victory.
The game started fairly evenly but it was the away side who struck. A cross from O’Mahony on the right deceived everyone and looped into the top corner after 20 minutes.
Luke Hewitson in the Celtic net had to be alert, saving from Mackenzie O’Neill and Sam Barrett.
The hosts saw plenty of the ball and came close themselves, Obua Mugalula firing a ball into the area...
