AN Amar Purewal double kept Hebburn in charge of their promotion fate as they sit five points above sixth-placed Newton Aycliffe.
It was a second-half brace for Purewal who struck first in the 61st minute, the inform striker leaping highest to convert a corner.
That was his 20th goal of the season, and No.21 quickly followed. Nine minutes later Purewal’s head proved to be lethal again, nodding in another corner. Hebburn Town were a threat throughout at corners but the two chances were enough to pick up an important victory.
