THAME United did their chances of survival no harm at all as they won at Biggleswade thanks to goals from Harry Alexander and Eitel Goueth.
The home side started well and passed up a couple of good chances with Tom Coles forcing a smart save from Archie Davis before hitting a post.
The visitors grew in confidence and they took the lead just before the hour as Alexander showed good feet to beat Tyler Josephs from close range.
It looked to be heading for a grandstand finish as Alex Marsh won a penalty after 69 minutes for FC, but Archie Davis saved.
