SHERWOOD Colliery started life at Step 4 with a narrow but morale-boosting win over Consett AFC.
The Wood started the game tentatively with the visitors having more of the ball and play in the opening 35 minutes.
Sherwood’s cause certainly wasn’t helped by an early injury for centre-forward Alexander Duhameau, who limped off and had to be replaced by Ethan Wies...
