DUNSTON edged out Pontefract by a solitary goal thanks to a Dale Pearson penalty just before the hour-mark.
With the wind blowing, both sides struggled to adapt to the conditions in the first half with neither side being able to test the opposing goalkeepers. The best chance came when Chris McDonald cleared the ball off the line to deny the visitors.
