■ NEWLY promoted Helston held off a late Westbury surge to win their season opener on a warm summer afternoon.
There was little action of note in a drab first half with only a few half chances at either end before home keeper Jonny Hill denied Jack Crago.
United then conceded a number of free-kicks in the second half and it was from one of these that the visitors opened the scoring, Jordan Copp curling the ball beyond Hill after 61 minutes.
