SHAY Wilcock’s 65th-minute strike secured Coventry Sphinx a deserved point from a typically niggly local derby.
Rugby had taken a first-half lead thanks to Tayo Tucker’s close-range finish from Hilton Arthur’s cross, although Kyle Carey could easily have broken the deadlock earlier, but he blazed over when through on goal.
Town started brightly after the restart, with Coventry keeper Charlie Woods keeping out Josh Thomas’s header.
