■ IT was a game of few chances for either side at Woodhorn Lane on Saturday.
Ashington dominated most of the play in the first half without capitalising on the possession in the final third leading to the scores being level at the interval.
Stocksbridge came out for the second half with a bit more fight, and after a defensive error, and first hitting a post, Danny Deakin poked home the rebound to give the visitors the lead.
