■ NEWLY promoted Emley continued their excellent start to the season with a comprehensive victory over West Yorkshire rivals Ossett United, and the home side had goalkeeper Aleks Petrovic to thank for limiting the damage.
Sorhaindo opened the scoring with a cool finish as Emley took advantage of poor defending down their right, Petrovic’s heroics making sure there his side were only a single goal down at half time.
Freescoring Birchil made it two early in the second half as the referee ignored the assistant’s flag.
