YATE moved four points clear at the summit by inflicting a first league home defeat on Didcot at the Loop Meadow.
Prior to the game, the teams had conceded only 15 goals between them and sure enough, defences came to the fore in a tight encounter that on balance, Yate deservedly emerged as winners.
The Railwaymen had keeper Leigh Bedwell to thank for a level scoreline at the break, in particular a spectacular one handed save to deny Jerry Lawrence.
