■ MELKSHAM took the points in a game constantly interrupted by stoppages, thanks to a Jake Andrews penalty and a Theodore Lyndon effort.
Melksham keeper Alfie Kelsey was called upon to save a shot from Billy Tucker in the fifth minute.
Bideford keeper Mike Searle appeared to be clattered by Robbie James, only for the referee to award Melksham a penalty which was converted by Andrews.
Melksham extended their lead when Lyndon capitalised on some poor defending by the home side.
