RAMSGATE battled to victory away at Eastbourne Town to maintain their unbeaten start.
It was an attritional game played on a pitch that has seen better days. Eastbourne went close early through James Ding before Ramsgate’s Josh Ajayi forced Chris Winterton into a save.
Ramsgate took the lead in the 22nd minute. Joe Taylor did well to turn his man and finished with aplomb into the far corner
The Rams doubled their lead in the 54th minute after the immense Joe Ellul was fouled in the box. Taylor confidently dispatched the penalty.
