■ NEWTON Aycliffe comfortably defeated Bradford PA at home as a Wayne Whitfield free kick took all the plaudits.
The home side broke the deadlock just 15 minutes in when Liam Jarvie outpaced the Bradford backline to slot home with ease.
The lead lasted just two minutes; Connor Shanks found the net with a sublime curling finish.
Parity lasted even less however when Liam Adamson broke away and launched an incredible finish in the 20th minute.
