■ IN a thrilling encounter at the Scholars Ground, Chasetown took an early lead with a penalty after Cater was fouled in the area.
Glover’s shot found the bottom corner, despite Mclenaghan’s fingertip touch. Stalybridge quickly responded, with Jack Irlam converting a corner to level the score. Chasetown pressed on but were soon trailing when Duckworth slotted the ball past Pond.
