PETER Holmes scored the only goal of the game as Biggleswade bagged their first home league win of the season with a gutsy performance against Hertford.
The visitors dominated much of the ball in the early exchanges, but George Rose was largely untroubled in the FC goal.
The hosts struggled to get anything of their own going, but one passage of quality yielded what would prove to be the only goal after 24 minutes.
