■ PETER Williams’ penalty in the first minute of injury time was the difference as in-form Congleton Town defeated Hanley Town.
It looked like this fixture was petering out for a draw until Matt Gillam was brought down just inside the area by Hanley captain Joel Stair and, despite Adam Whitehouse getting a glove to Williams’ spot kick he couldn’t deny the midfielder.
