CLITHEROE put their midweek thumping behind them and treated another big home crowd to a great performance.
They took the lead after two minutes when a quickly taken Mark Hughes free kick was met by Louis Potts, whose header beat the keeper.
Runcorn drew level as the first half ticked down when an excellent through ball found Adam Moseley who finished smartly. The game had barely restarted when Clitheroe’s Emerich Poilly swayed, made space and drove the ball home to restore the lead.
