TEN-MAN Newton n Aycliffe overcame their deficit to beat Pontefract at Beechnut Lane.
After 42 days away from home, Ponte were caught out early as Jake Petitjean stepped past defenders to slot home the opener.
However, debutant Adam Watson leveled the score with a composed finish.
Newton Aycliffe regained their lead through Petit-jean’s brilliant free kick.
