■ EVESHAM United edged past Tavistock courtesy of Josh Barlow’s first-half strike to close the gap to nine points on leaders Yate Town.
The hosts deservedly took the lead through Barlow in the 19th minute to earn a swift reward for their pressure.
Although many would have expected the hosts to push on from there, Tavistock deserve credit for staying in the game, albeit without mounting a comeback.
