■ ANSTEY hosted AFC Rushden & Diamonds at Cropston Road with the home side recording a convincing victory.
With both sides looking to improve on recent results, it would be the Nomads that started brighter. A Josh Burniston early goal would help the Nomads lead at the half-time interval.
The visiting Rushden side would have their chances from a plethora of set-plays to no avail.
It would be long into the second half when the Nomads would finally grab their second from Lewis Gib-bens’ header from a well-delivered cross.
