TWO second-half goals gave Isthmian League North newcomers Downham Town back-to-back victories as they proved too strong for Heybridge Swifts at Scraley Road.
Fresh from beating Brantham Athletic for their first home win of the campaign, Downham carried their momentum into Essex. Charlie Royle broke the deadlock 11 minutes into the second half, netting his third goal in two games. Eight minutes later, Lagshan Sivakumar doubled the visitors’ advantage with a tidy finish, leaving the Swifts struggling to respond.
